‘The Suicide Squad’ Trailer Reveals The Movie’s Huge DC Villain
UPDATE: Here is the new official trailer for The suicide squad:
ORIGINAL POSITION: A surprise awaits DC Comics fans on YouTube this morning: a brand new trailer for James Gunn’s The suicide squad. But instead of posting the trailer to DC’s or Warner Bros. YouTube channels, the ad hides in the actual ads on YouTube. You just have to be lucky and get it when you click on another YouTube video.
In the trailer, Idris Elba’s Bloodsport is recruited into the Suicide Squad by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), who says he’s wanted on the team because he actually put Superman in intensive care with a Kryptonite bullet. (Something tells me we probably won’t see this scene in the finished movie.) She then reveals that the team needs to shut down something called “Project Starfish” – which is a pretty big clue as to where the rest is heading. of the movie.
For now, YouTube is the only way to see this new Suicide Squad trailer – but there are a whole bunch of official images from the trailer. Check them out below:
The suicide squad: New images
James Gunn is leading this 2016 follow-up Suicide Squad. It opens in theaters and premieres on HBO Max on August 6.
And the latter conclusively reveals the movie’s big villain: Starro, DC’s most famous giant alien starfish. Starro was actually the very first villain the Justice League had ever faced, in the pages of The brave and the daring # 28.
Starro creates tiny duplicates of himself that can cling to human hosts and then control their minds. Then the main starfish also has all kinds of powers. (As you can see in the trailer, he’s gigantic as well.) Starro is a Justice League-level threat – so you can imagine how much the Suicide Squad will be against him.
The suicide squad opens in theaters and premieres on HBO Max on August 6. Whenever the trailer is released on its own, we’ll post it here.
