Netflix unveils first preview of “The Sandman” series
Long regarded as one of the greatest comic book series in history, The sand man finally gets a long-awaited – and long-awaited –attempted – adaptation when Netflix brings it to television in a brand new series. For decades he debuted in the late 1980s, people tried to adapt Neil Gaiman’s movie The sand man, mainly as a movie. pulp Fiction co-writer Roger Avary worked on a version for a few years and a decade ago David S. Goyer was involved in an entirely different project based on the series, which reportedly starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt as main character. It never happened either. Supposedly, some of these Sand seller the film projects were so disastrous that they kept Gaiman from working on anything at DC Comics involving his characters for years.
The sand man eventually came together into a TV series, which was probably always better suited to the material anyway. The original comic ran for 75 series until the mid-90s and was revived by Gaiman a few times in various graphic novels and spinoffs. by netflix Sand seller was developed by TV veteran Allan Heinberg (he worked on Gilmore Girls, Grey’s Anatomy, and Scandal, among many others) who is also a comic book author. (He is the co-creator of Young Avengers, an excellent book that looks like it could be adapted for the MCU in the years to come.) The series stars Tom Sturridge as Dream, with Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer and Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death. The show’s first teaser is here – watch it below:
