George Clooney has not been invited to appear in “The Flash”
Flash may feature Ben Affleck’s Batman and Michael Keaton’s Batman, but this is not a Batman reunion or The Flash: in the Batverse. On the one hand, George Clooney will not appear as the Batman of Batman and robin in the movie. Can you believe it?!?
George Clooney certainly can. He admitted to Variety in a recent interview he didn’t even ask to be a part of Flashthe multigenerational Batman saga. He wasn’t surprised though. As he said:
They didn’t ask me. When you destroy a franchise like I did, they usually look away when “The Flash” goes by.
Apparently, he won’t let his wife watch the movie either. (“There are some movies that I just saw, ‘I want my wife to have a little respect for me,'” Clooney explained.)
See, Batman and robin is far from the pinnacle of Batman’s cinematic adventures. Yes, that’s probably closer to the bottom than the top of his best movies list. But this is not the worse Batman never. When we ranked every Batman movie on ScreenCrush a year or two ago, it came in 11th place, ahead of the terrible Batman 1940s soap operas, and the original theatrical cut of Justice League. And this Batman from the movie is in Flash! So don’t sell yourself short, George Clooney. You might just get that hit at Bat-redemption again.
Flash is set to hit theaters on November 4, 2022. He hasn’t garnered much attention in this article – or most articles on the film lately – but Ezra Miller is in the film as The Flash. And this is undoubtedly the main character? And then there are Batmans in it too? But not George Clooney’s Batman.
