A dog buried alive is unearthed | Dog buried alive by owners after ‘lethal injection’ dug from his grave
A dog who was buried alive by his Russian owners after receiving a “lethal injection” managed to climb out of the grave and walk to a road.
The dog named Kiryusha is a seven year old German Shepherd. He was seen by 39-year-old motorist Olga Lystseva while driving in southern Russia, according to LadBible.
Olga said she noticed the exhausted dog walking slowly in the rain. So she decided to turn around and walk nearly 17 km to him from the side of the road.
Once she was able to pick up the dog, she put him in the back seat of the car and offered him food. Olga then drove to the town of Ukhta to hand the dog over to a rescue center.
At first, the shelter posted several photos of the dog and appealed to the public for information. When the dog’s owners were found, they said they had to “shoot” Kiryusha, claiming she was in poor health.
The couple allegedly injected the dog with a deadly drug intended to kill him. After that, they buried him in a remote place near the Ukhta-Syktyvkar highway.
Fortunately, the dog showed no signs of serious medical problems despite the ordeal.
“Thanks to Olga, Kiryusha started a new life. At the shelter, he is very calm. He walks on a leash, does not rush anywhere, is rarely in conflict with other dogs and does not bark. He is in a good mood. with people, ”said Ekaterina Nimak, a member of the rescue service.
The shelter said the owners have since apologized for their “mistake”.
